Brooks Radtke is a composer and arranger for film, interactive media and the performing arts based in Oregon wine country. He earned a Bachelor of Music from Azusa Pacific University in 2015, having studied piano, composition, arranging and orchestration under Hollywood music veterans, Mark Gasbarro and Mike Watts. Brooks began his early career assisting composer J.A.C. Redford, aided the various talents at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions, and worked as an Audio Manager for the trailer music production house, Methodic Doubt Music.
As an avid composer, Brooks frequently writes and collaborates with small ensembles across the U.S., in addition to commercial work, having scored over a dozen independent films and video games.
In 2021, Brooks was selected as a Top-10, global finalist for the Oticons Faculty International Film Music Competition, being complimented as being “a very talented and complex composer with a great sense of use of counter lines and contrapuntal movement in music.”
In 2022, Brooks was a selected participant in the exclusive Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive (LAFCI) under the direction of legendary Hollywood conductors Angel Valez and Conrad Pope, gaining invaluable experience conducting well-known works by John Williams with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, and reaching a pinnacle performance of a new, personal composition for a full-house audience at the National Theater.
When he isn’t writing music, Brooks is managing an indie-game studio, Redremptive Innovations, programming audio in Wwise or FMOD middleware, or cooking with his wife, Aramis.
